Software Architect (PHP/AWS)

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer with expertise in PHP and AWS to join our development team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of web application development, cloud infrastructure, and a passion for solving complex problems. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining our web applications and cloud-based services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable web applications using PHP.
• Architect and manage AWS infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and security.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.
• Perform code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior developers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues and bugs.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and efficiency.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and methodologies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in software development with a focus on PHP.
• Proven experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and CloudFormation.
• Strong understanding of web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks/libraries.
• Experience with RESTful API design and development.
• Proficient in database design and management (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Docker and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and serverless computing.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible).
• Contributions to open source projects or a strong personal coding portfolio.
