About the Role
We are looking for a Security Analyst to join the team in Sydney. This role focuses on Detection & Response, working on infrastructure and operations while contributing as a generalist within the security team. The company values creativity and lateral thinking, offering a dynamic, agile work environment with a flat organisational structure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage security monitoring and automation tools to enhance detection and response capabilities.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to improve vulnerability management processes.
- Investigate and triage security events, manage vulnerabilities on endpoints, servers, and cloud infrastructure.
- Handle patch management, software compliance, and license management.
- Identify new threats and fine-tune detection capabilities using existing and new tools.
- Evaluate new and emerging security technologies to enhance overall security.
- Promote security awareness across the company through collaboration and mentorship.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Commercial experience working in security operations, detection engineering, or related roles.
- Hands-on experience with SIEM and SOAR platforms, securing endpoints, and managing security incident response lifecycles.
- Familiarity with cloud services and infrastructure (e.g., O365, EntraID).
- Knowledge of modern adversary tactics, security vulnerabilities, patching, and remediation.
