Position Description
PROJECT/CLIENT CONFIDENTIAL
Client require a senior engineer to compliment a project team to develop a Dev VMware platform along with two reference environments for a client. We are seeking a highly skilled VMware and Linux Engineer to join our team.


* Start/End date Duration: 6 months - 30th September Start
*Start date is subject to BPSS checks
* Contractual Base Location: Role will be based on client site in Farnborough
* Inside IR35
* CLEARANCE: HMG HLC (Highest Level Clearance/DV) + Sole UK National

NATIONAL SECURITY CLEARANCE must be active and transferable.

Clearance remains valid providing the following criteria are met:
1. Security clearances must not be more than 10 years old or 7 years for DV; and it must have more than a year remaining before expiry - ideally 18 months
2. Candidate has taken up post within 6 months of the clearance being granted.
3. The individual must have worked on a government contract or for a government department/Police Force in a role requiring NSV clearance within the last 12 months;
4. The individual must not have resided overseas for more than 6 months during the break in service between government contracts.

5. Candidate must only hold a UK/British passport. No dual nationality. If not born here they must hold the right level of clearance specified above and have renounced any rights to previous citizenships.

Key Duties:
VMware Engineering: Size and build target environments based on processing, storage, and network requirements captured by the project team, under the guidance of a Technical Lead.


Linux Engineering: Lead the design and implementation of the Linux components within the platform, including the management solution for Linux systems and the Linux VDI solutions provided to end users.
